Why Deacon Timon is so loose on us??? 2 of 2

Is it a good strategy that one side cries out loud and the other side blocking their ears as if they heard nothing?

Your Eminence, for how long do you think this strategy can continue?

Would anybody be happy seeing the name of our beloved Coptic Church ridiculed and muddied in the Australian courts?

As you are well aware, there have been a few court cases and there are many more in the pipeline.

Would anybody be happy to see us fighting each other in law suits?

For how long can few big heads control everything in Sydney and deprive the silent majority from peaceful and blessed life, just because of their hidden agenda?

Are we compromising everything in Sydney for just less than a handful of people.

Your Eminence, some are taking the silence of the church hierarchy as a sign of HGBD's guilt.

We know fair well this is not true.

However, if it is the case, please tell us honestly and frankly.

We will not be happy but we will accept it and get on with life.

But if it is not true, why HGBD is still away from his Diocese until now!

Please say something...

Pleas do not take our patience for granted, it is fast running out.

Your Eminence, the peaceful majority can not remain silent forever.

Please forgive us.

The Shame of Bishop Bishoy and persecution of Father Zakaria for defending the Cross and Copts.

Dear brothers and sisters of the Coptic faith,
You may have viewed the shameful interview with Bishop Bishoy. These are very hard and trying times for His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, the Coptic Church in Egypt, our Coptic brothers and sisters and the grief of our fellow believers in other Christian denominations.
Our main concern is that this is the time where the Church and all Christians of every denomination must be unified in solidarity to fight this evil that has befallen us. This interview is a terrible occurrence.
I would recommend that we should all put our efforts of any sort in support of our Church and all the Christians in Egypt as we are one body of Christ suppressed by radical Islamic fundamentalists and not one another.
Primarily, there should be prayers done on behalf of the Copts in Egypt as they are in great persecution as a consequence of this interview. The threat to Copts is not from other Christians, but the holders of extremist Islamists with radical views.
Bishop Bishoy’s interview does not reflect that of His Holiness Our Pope nor the united voice and sentiment of Copts world wide and within Egypt.
Something must be done by all the Copts who are outside of the fire, (Egypt), to help those who are in the fire.
Bishop Bishoy openly attacks Protestants and Anglicans and incites Islam against them. We ask him why shouldn’t the Copts outside Egypt who are living in freedom and safety actively come together to help under one cause in unity and solidarity our families, brothers and sisters living in the hell of an Islamic state (Egypt) where they are persecuted daily. Bishop Bishoy how & why do you offer to de-cloak Father Zakaria for showing the world the persecution of Copts at the hands of Islam? How dare you make such an offer to de-cloak a priest in return for radical Islam ceasing vocal attack against Copts?
Do not ever use other Christian denominations to divert the problem (YOU) and focus Islam against other Christians.
The threat to Copts in Egypt is Islam not the Protestants as he would have us falsely believe. Bishop Bishoy why are you playing with the truth: and been passive towards Islam while many Copts are being tormented and tortured for their faith.
Bishop Bishoy as it is written, "remember those who are bound as you were bound with them...". God's speed let us come together and do something.
Something like a world wide demonstration to cause world wide attention to the shame and problems Bishop Bishoy has brought on Copts world wide, anyhow, something! Thank you.

    Youseff

  3. Bishop Bishoy, our threats are from islam not protestants.
Below are a few cases of Coptic persecution

Christian Girls Kidnapped In Egypt And Forced To Convert To Islam

Reports of kidnappings and the forced conversion of Christian girls to Islam are common among Egypt's Coptic community. Only three months ago, Theresa Ghattas Kamal, missing since 6 January and feared kidnapped by a Muslim man, was found living with a Muslim family. Wearing the full veil, she told her brother that she had 'found the right path' - Islam. Please pray for these girls and remember the ones who go unnoticed.

    Name: Marianna Rezk Shafik Attallah
    Age: 20
    Disappeared: 30 May 2005
Marianna (bottom, left) left work to pick up a patient's blood sample but has not been seen since.

The owner of the business next door told her fiancé that a Muslim employee of his had kidnapped the young woman.

Rumours spread that she had converted to Islam, but her fiancé dismissed the claims, saying it was her close relationship with God that brought him to a deeper understanding of his own Christian faith.

    Name: Heba Nabil Narouz Ghali
    Age: 21
    Disappeared: 28 September 2005
Heba (bottom, right) was last seen leaving work at a hypermarket in a suburb of Cairo. Staff said she had left as usual on the bus but later claimed she had resigned.

Five days later the family received a letter stating that Heba had eloped with a Muslim man but when they contacted the man, he denied any knowledge of her whereabouts.

The next day, a police source told Nabil Ghali that his daughter had converted to Islam.

On 13 November, he acquired a copy of Heba's conversion certificate, dated 28 September.

    Name: Theresa Ghattas Kamal
    Age: 19
    Disappeared: 3 January 2006
Three weeks after she went missing, Theresa (top, left) called her family, saying she was imprisoned in a Cairo apartment facing pressure to convert to Islam.

Theresa's brother eventually found her living with a Muslim family. He was allowed to visit on 23 March when he sat with her for 90 minutes.

She spoke only once to say, "I have converted to Islam. I have found the right path."

Open Doors co-workers in Egypt are working hard to prevent these conversions. Through financial support for Christian families, they hope to help them stand firm and to alleviate extreme hardship.

'Kidnap conversions' to Islam have long been the subject of debate in the country. And according to the US International Religious Freedom Report on Egypt, there have been credible reports that government authorities have failed to cooperate with Christian families seeking to regain custody of their daughters.

Without police cooperation, families find it difficult to verify the motives for a conversion. Unless the girl is under 18, the legal age for conversion, police often refuse to recover the missing woman by claiming that she does not want to see her family.

The issue is made more complicated by the fact that both Muslim and Christian families in rural Upper Egypt have abused and at times killed daughters – for the sake of 'honour' – if they believed the young women had been sexually compromised.

But the Coptic Orthodox Church estimates that a shocking 10–15,000 people per year convert to Islam. This number makes up between nine and 13.5 per cent of the annual growth of the Coptic Church.

Most of the converts are women under 25.

Open Doors supports the Persecuted Church in 45 countries around the world by: training church leaders and Christian workers; supplying Bibles and other Christian resources to Christians who either can't get a Bible or have difficulty; providing practical livelihood training and opportunities; visiting, comforting and encouraging those who are suffering; and raising awareness of the difficulties facing persecuted Christians and mobilising prayer support throughout the western world.
